SANKARI VILLAGE

The Sankari Village in Uttarakhand is a route to The Paradise of Himalayas for every trekker. It is not just a scenic hamlet situated in Uttarkashi district but also a trekker’s delight. The Sankari Village is the last road head to the Govind Balabh Pant Wildlife Sanctuary. The village offers ecstatic views of the Himalayan skyline and a plethora of mountain peaks, gazing at you from a distance.

KEDARKANTHA TREK

Kedarkantha trek route delights in a windy trail through rich forests, snow-laden trail with patches of green, meadow used by shepherds during the summer season and witness several peaks and ranges. The thrill and excitement do not end here. Learn how to ski and feel the glee as you glide through frosty slopes. Feel the thrill as you walk through some of the beautiful views of the region. Spend some time staring at the mesmerizing beauty of the mountains.

Itinerary

Day 01: ARRIVE AT Sankri VILLAGE (1920Mtr)

Arrive at Sankri Village Base Camp (1920Mtr)
Arrive Base Camp in the evening.
Welcome address by the camp leader and allotment of tents on sharing basis.
Dinner followed by bonfire and songs/ group entertainment
(MEALS: EVENING TEA, DINNER)

Sankri is the last village connected by bus and has no telephone connection as of yet (the village was electrified only during 2007). The village is about 13 Kms inside the Govind Wild Life Sanctuary (Netwair is the place where the check post is located). Sankri is the roadhead to the almost untouched Har-ki-dun (3566m) with the Swargarohini Peak (6096m) towering above it in the backdrop

DAY 02: SSANKARI -JUDA KA TALAB – KEDARKANTHA BASE CAMP ( 2850 mts)

Post breakfast, departure for trek to Kedarkantha Base Camp
Packed Lunch.
Post lunch, welcome address by the camp leader and allotment of tents on sharing basis
Evening to explore the beautiful forest around.
Soup time followed by dinner and campfire. Overnight in tents.

DAY 3: CLIMB TO SNOWLINE AND BEYOND (12,500FT)

Post breakfast the group will depart for the trek
Great spectacular views of the Garhwal Himalayas mountains from the top. It’s a Height gain day to Snowline and beyond. Will enjoy the spectacular views
The group will return back till lunch. Evening at leisure.
Soup time followed by dinner and campfire
The group will logout from the hectic day and will sleep in the tents.
Overnight in tents (Group Sharing basis)

(MEALS: BREAKFAST, LUNCH, EVENING TEA, DINNER)

Your trail which ascends from 11,200ft to 12,500ft. Remember to enjoy a beautiful sunrise over the meadows to boost for the rest of the day. The trail today is a steady path with ascending peaks. On your trail today, you will cross forest to reach the peak after a difficult climb you will feel as if the sky is very near and you are able to touch it.
You can see 13 different mountain peaks. There is a small temple of Lord Shiva and Parvathi at the top. You can relax at the top for a while before you’re descent towards.

DAY 4: KEDARKANTHA CAMP TO SANKRI (BASE CAMP)

Post breakfast, departure for trek to Base Camp
Arrive around lunch time
Rasna/ Lemonade on arrival to be served. Lunch at Base camp
Evening to explore the beautiful forest around
Soup time followed by dinner and campfire, Overnight in tents

Backpack Offloading Cost:

If the payment made in advance through Paytm/online, then the charges for
per bag will be Rs. 2000/- for the entire program. Which will be made 7 days
prior the program.
The backpack cannot weight more than 10 kgs. Backpack should have
waterproof cover. Suitcase/Strolley Bags will not be allowed.

Confirmation Policy

Upon booking, the traveller will receive a confirmation voucher via email, within 24 hours.
In the special cases of slots not being available, feasible alternatives will be provided to the customer, in regards to the customer’s preference. In such cases, a new voucher would be sent via email, consisting of the new travel details.

Any cancellation made before 20 days prior to the date of departure, would levy a 30% of total tour cost as cancellation charges.
Any cancellation made within 7-20 days prior to the date of departure, would levy a 60% of total tour cost as cancellation charges.
Any cancellation made within 0-7 days prior to the date of departure, would levy a 100% of total tour cost as cancellation charges.
Due to any restrictions such as sudden government policies or regulations, health hazards, medical emergencies, or unprecedented weather conditions, activities and tours may be nonoperational and be cancelled. In cases such as these, operators will attempt to cater to the traveller an alternate, which is feasible in nature. However, any refund would not be catered.
